There were some great suits on the step and repeats this week, too. At the Angel City premiere in Hollywood, Natalie Portman wore Miu Miu’s black short suit, complete with a buttoned-up tweed jacket a subtle nod to Jackie O, who she’s famously portrayed on-screen. At a Tony Awards “Meet the Nominees” event in New York City, Jodie Comer slipped into Gabriela Hearst’s white three-piece suit, complete with a sleek blazer, vest and trousers a totally fresh, and slightly unexpected, evening wear choice.

Summer may just be around the corner, but this week’s best dressed stars aren’t embracing easy-breezy dresses just yet. On the red carpets these past few days, A-listers wore looks that had shape to them. Structured silhouettes dominated the week, whether it was a voluminous tulle Molly Goddard dress (like the one actor Jessica Williams wore to an Apple TV+ and Essence event in L.A.), or a tough leather coat fresh off Bottega Veneta’s fall 2023 runway (a la Kendall Jenner, who rocked it while out and about in New York City).
Bold colors also made a cameo this week, too. At FIT’s 2023 Future of Fashion celebration in New York City, model Karlie Kloss chose Schiaparelli’s red hot silky gown. The deep-V cut and gold strap detailing was designed to turn heads. At a Veuve Clicquot event in London, Jodie Turner-Smith also embraced bright red only, she rocked David Kona’s shaggy shearling coat instead, complete with a classic white tank and dress trousers. It’s a look so good it has us contemplating wearing heavy outerwear in the summer.
